Brownies made with browned butter, tonka, orange zest and Meltdown Artisan bean-to-bar chocolate. This batch features a 70% dark chocolate from Pangoa, Peru. 

The region these beans come from in Pangoa has a long history of coca leaf production, a crop that has been deeply intertwined with Indigenous culture for generations. Unfortunately, coca leaves also serve as the raw ingredient for cocaine, creating oppressive farming conditions and reliance on illicit drug trade. As a response, the Peruvian government has been incentivising farmers to grow alternate crops like coffee and cacao.

Storage + Care

Please store chocolate in a cool (~18-22ºC), dry place away from direct sunlight and strong smelling odours. Chocolate should only be stored in the fridge where the ambient temperature is consistently above 28°C.
