This bar showcases cocoa beans from the famed fermentary Kokoa Kamili in Tanzania, East Africa. Kokoa Kamili fermentary are well known for their incredibly quality of beans, paying more to their farmers for ‘wet’ cocoa straight from harvested pods. They then ferment and dry the beans, meaning that farmers have more time to focus on other aspects of growing, starting small businesses or having some down time—freeing up some of their time means potential access to forms of extra income or a better quality of life.
When I tell you that this bar of chocolate has forever changed the way I see chocolate - it is not hyperbole. I have never had chocolate as smooth, creamy, nutty and who knew chocolate could taste so flavourful? This was an incredible bar.
